How to Get to Four Seasons Bogota

Four Seasons Bogota is located in Bogota, Colombia’s bustling capital city. Bogota is centrally located within Colombia, set within the Andes Mountains. The city has an elevation of over 8,600 feet (2,600+ meters), making it one of the world’s highest capital cities.

Bogota is very well-connected from other cities around the world and within Colombia. You can easily fly to Bogota on a nonstop flight from most bigger cities within the country. Likewise, you can also get nonstop flights into Bogota’s El Dorado International Airport (airport code: BOG) from several cities around the world, including many in the United States.

Once you arrive in Bogota, the Four Seasons Bogota is only a 40-minute drive away. The hotel is located in Bogota’s Zona T neighborhood on a semi-private street. Tons of bars, restaurants, and shops are located on this road, making it a great place to stay for those who love nightlife.

Rooms & Suites at Four Seasons Bogota

The Four Seasons Bogota is very much a city hotel, so the offering of rooms and suites at the hotel is pretty straightforward. The hotel is home to 34 guest rooms and 29 suites. With only 63 rooms in total, the hotel feels very boutique and intimate.

The rooms at the Four Seasons Bogota are great for a couple or for those traveling on business. They’re not as large as those at the hotel’s sister property, Four Seasons Bogota Casa Medina. That being said, the hotel has a great offering of rooms and suites, which are all listed below.

Rooms at Four Seasons Bogota

The rooms at Four Seasons Bogota are really straightforward and easy to choose between. Deluxe Rooms and Superior Rooms at the hotel are quite similar, with the main difference being the size of the room. Both rooms will hold up to 2 adults and your only option for bedding is a Queen bed. Because of the size and the bedding option, I’d recommend this hotel most for solo travelers or business travelers.

If you’re traveling as a couple or with a friend, I’d highly recommend upgrading to the Grand Premier Room. This room type is available on floors 2-8, so definitely request a higher floor if you choose this room. You can opt for either a King bed, a Queen bed, or 2 Queen beds in this room, which is very uncommon to see, but a great option. Additionally, the Grand Premier Room is a bit larger than both the Deluxe and Superior Room types. This room type also allows for up to 3 adults.

Suites at Four Seasons Bogota

It’s very uncommon to see almost as many suites at a hotel as regular rooms, but that’s something unique about the Four Seasons Bogota. This is a great place to splurge on a roomier suite because the prices for suites at this hotel are excellent.

Even the Four Seasons Executive Suite offers a separated living room and bedroom area, which is one of the best parts of booking a suite. From the Four Seasons Executive Suite to the One-Bedroom Suite to the One-Bedroom Premier Suite, you see gradual size increases in the rooms. All 3 suites will allow up to 2 adults and 1 child in the room, so this is a great option for a family with a small child traveling.

If you’re really wanting to splurge and want a significantly nicer room, you can opt for the 1,200+ square foot (115 m2) Penthouse Suite at Four Seasons Bogota. This is the largest accommodation offering at the hotel at almost 800 square feet larger than the next largest room. That being said, it still only accommodates up to 2 adults and 1 child in the room. All suites at the hotel offer a King bed and the option for a rollaway bed on request.

Staying in a Grand Premier Room at Four Seasons Bogota

During my visit to the Four Seasons Hotel Bogota, I opted for a Grand Premier Room. This room is a super unique offering with the option to have 2 Queen beds in the room. It’s not super common to find this outside of the United States, where 2 Double beds is sometimes even hard to find. If you’d like to book this room with 2 Queen beds, definitely book early and request this bedding set up, as they only have a few rooms set up this way.

Despite having 2 Queen beds, the Grand Premier Room was very spacious, even for a city hotel. The room still featured ample seating area on top of the beds and plenty of room to move around. Opting for the room with 2 Queen beds does mean you lose the sofa, but this wasn’t a negative at all – just something to keep in mind.

Aside from the super comfortable Queen beds, the room featured a seating area with a table, a desk area to get some work done, and another large armchair. On top of all the seating areas in the room, there was a fully stocked mini bar and ample table/desk space. The bathroom was set up with a large sink area with a mirror and a separate area behind a door for the toilet and shower, which was a nice touch.

Restaurants at the Four Seasons Hotel Bogota

The restaurant at the Four Seasons Bogota is called La Biblioteca. It’s located right near the front lobby of the hotel. Additionally, there’s some outdoor seating for this restaurant, which is a really nice option for those beautiful Bogota days.

This is the restaurant that serves breakfast, as well as lunch and dinner. The restaurant is open most of the day, but it does close for a 1-hour period of time between breakfast and lunch. As expected, the breakfast is abundant and delicious. The lunch and dinner offering at La Biblioteca is just as yummy, with a large variety of options. The hotel does have a small bar area, but it’s more to order drinks than to sit and drink at.

Lastly, the Four Seasons Bogota does offer in-room dining services. There’s more than enough room inside your room to enjoy room service, so definitely try this out on a quiet night in.

Activities at the Four Seasons Bogota

Being that the Four Seasons Bogota is a city hotel, most of the activities are outside of the hotel’s walls. That being said, the Four Seasons is more than willing to help you plan an incredible itinerary to explore Bogota. Plus, once you’ve finished exploring the city, you can come back and enjoy the hotel’s spa and fitness center.

The hotel is located within the larger Chapinero area of Bogota, which means you’ll have unfettered access to the area’s epic nightlife and cafes. Plus, the hotel is only a 20-minute drive away from Bogota’s historic district, which is the home of many of the best things to do in Bogota. I’d definitely recommend reaching out to the hotel’s concierge via the Four Seasons App ahead of your stay to plan out some activities to keep you busy in Bogota.
