Whether you’re still looking for a place to stay or just want to know more about this resort, keep reading to find out why Four Seasons is the best option for your stay in Punta Mita!

Where is Punta Mita?

Punta Mita is located on Mexico’s western coast. The state is called Nayarit, and this coastline area is most commonly referred to as Riviera Nayarit. One of the closest cities to Punta Mita is Puerto Vallarta. However, Guadalajara isn’t too far from Punta Mita either.

Due to its location on the west coast of Mexico, Punta Mita sits right against the beautiful Pacific Ocean. The Pacific Ocean can often be associated with cooler waters, like they are in Southern California. The waters off the coast of Punta Mita, however, are super blue and the perfect temperature since it’s much further south.

How to Get to Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita

It’s super easy to get to Four Seasons Punta Mita. The most direct way to get there is to fly to the nearest city, Puerto Vallarta. The airport in Puerto Vallarta is called the Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport (airport code: PVR). From North America, you can fly direct to Puerto Vallarta from several cities, including Los Angeles, Chicago, Newark, Dallas, and Toronto.

Once you land in Puerto Vallarta, the Four Seasons Punta Mita is only about a 45 minute to 1 hour drive, depending on traffic. I would recommend arranging an airport transfers directly with the Four Seasons to make the process super smooth. Make sure to download the Four Seasons App to chat with concierge about a transfer.

Casitas at the Four Seasons Punta Mita

There are 4 different types of Casitas at the Four Seasons Punta Mita. Think of them as the “standard” room type, except way better! With the exception of the Two-Bedroom Family Casita, all the Casitas are the same size. The main difference between the room types is the view from the room.

The Garden, Ocean, and Oceanfront Casitas are all 645 square feet (60 m2) of indoor and outdoor space and the views are just as they sound – either garden view, ocean view, or oceanfront view. By nature of the view, the view you choose will also likely determine your location in the resort. The oceanfront rooms are more likely to be towards the front of the resort, with the ocean view set a little back, and the garden view back yet again.

The map below will give you a good idea of how the rooms are laid out. You can see that there are several different buildings and there are levels to them. So, the oceanfront rooms will be that first row of buildings, whereas the ocean view and garden view will be behind those.

Suites at the Four Seasons Punta Mita

The suites at Four Seasons Punta Mita are like the casitas with an incredible twist. All the suites at the resort include plunge pools. Yup! You read that right – every single one has your own private plunge pool to enjoy throughout your stay. The pools at the resort are to die for, but nothing beats having your own pool!

All the one-bedroom suites at Four Seasons Punta Mita measure at 1625 square feet (151 m2) of indoor and outdoor space. There are two-bedroom options available in the garden view and ocean view suites. The two-bedroom suites measure at a whopping 2270 square feet (211 m2), so you’ll have plenty of room, even if you have a larger family.

The capacity of the one-bedroom suites is 4 adults, including up to 3 children, whereas the two-bedroom suites offer a capacity of up to 6 guests, including up to 5 children. If you need even more space than this, definitely look into the residence and villa options available at Four Seasons Punta Mita.

Staying in an Ocean Casita at Four Seasons Punta Mita

During my stay at Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita, I had the incredible pleasure to stay in one of their stunning Ocean Casitas. We had epic, unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean, a super cozy room, and a spacious balcony.

We stayed in building 900, which was absolutely perfect. If you scroll up and check out the resort map, you’ll see that building 900 is right in the central part of the resort. This made it super easy to get to the restaurants, the beach, and the lobby. When you book your stay in an Ocean Casita, make sure to email concierge or message them on the Four Seasons app to request building 900 ahead of time!

Inside the Ocean Casita

The Ocean Casitas are the most stunning happy medium when it comes to the rooms offered at Four Seasons Punta Mita. In my opinion, you have to take the step up from the Garden Casita to the Ocean Casita because of the view alone. While some people may prefer the oceanfront view offered by the Oceanfront Casita, the close proximity to the restaurants, the pools, and the beach make the Ocean Casitas the way to go.

Immediately as you walk into the Ocean Casita, there’s a super spacious closet and the bathroom. The bathroom has a massive shower and soaking tub, double sinks, and a separate room for the toilet. Once you walk into the living area, you’ll be met by either a King bed or 2 double beds. The living area also features a mini bar and liquor cabinet, a TV, and a seating area with two chairs. The cherry-on-top was the adorable margarita and guacamole kit left for us to make our own treats, which is such a clever idea!

Once you leave the living area, you’ll walk out onto the balcony, which features sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean and the resort. The balcony also features a table and chairs, along with an L-shaped sofa with a little table. This might sound crazy, but one of the nicest touches of the balcony was the ceiling fan. It can get really hot in Punta Mita and sitting on the balcony with little air flow can become difficult, but the fan is that little added touch that makes all the difference!

If all of this incredible dining options aren’t enough for you, Four Seasons Punta Mita has you covered. They offer the most unique variety of food experiences I’ve ever seen at a resort. While they offer more traditional options like private dining, they also offer foodie experiences, such as the Octopus Catch & Cook, Sea to Table, and more.

Pools & Beaches at the Four Seasons Punta Mita

The Four Seasons Punta Mita has a ton of great pools and beaches. The pool options range from the stunning family-friendly Nuna Pool, which is an infinity pool offering unobstructed views of the beach and Pacific Ocean, to the adults only Tamai Pool, which offers adults an intimate escape. If that wasn’t enough, the resort also has a lazy river, which is so much fun. All the pool options have ample seating and pool services offered to make your time as relaxing and carefree as possible.

If you’re more of a beach person, don’t fret – the beaches at Four Seasons Punta Mita are some of the best I’ve seen in Punta Mita! The resort sits on a bit of a peninsula, so there are actually two separate beaches. One offers a bit more shade and beach cabanas galore, and the other offers a more open space to sit and tan. Similar to the pools, you can expect to receive full service at the beaches.

Activities at the Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita

If the foodie activities I mentioned in the previous section didn’t clue you in, the Four Seasons Punta Mita has an extensive array of activity options. I think you could spend an entire month at this resort and never run out of cool things to do.

Before we get into the extra paid activity options, know that the resort has tons of free activities that are already included in your stay.
